Fellowship Church Inclement Weather Policy
As we prepare for winter, it’s important to stay mindful of the impact of changing temperatures and severe weather that can vary significantly across our region.
How We Communicate Cancellations
We will communicate cancellations promptly on the following platforms:
- A text message to subscribers of our inclement weather text alerts
- Text WEATHER to 570-774-5486 to join
- Our inclement weather updates page
Inclement Weather on Weekdays
If severe weather affects our ability to safely open our campus, we will follow a consistent inclement weather schedule for all on-campus ministries. For example:
- “All Thursday morning ministry activities have been cancelled, and our campus will be closed until 12:00 PM.”
- “All ministry activities scheduled for Tuesday have been cancelled, and our campus will be closed.”
Off-campus ministries, such as Community Groups and Bible studies, may make their own determinations based on local factors.
Inclement Weather on Sundays
During inclement weather, we will make every effort to hold a worship service for those who can attend, as weather conditions often vary significantly, even between local neighborhoods.
The church staff will decide if there is a need to follow an inclement weather schedule and communicate any changes promptly.
In the event of a Sunday schedule change, we will communicate through all of the above methods, with the addition of an email notification. Subscribe to email updates >
