Pray for the Cheethams and their baby Titus
Dear Fellowship Family,
On 6/16, our son, Titus Kaleb, was born at 2lbs. 2oz, via emergency c-section after doctors had monitored a distressed heartbeat and significant decrease in movement. After he was born, he underwent a series of tests, x-rays, and ultrasounds to understand why his body was so small and why he seemed to be struggling.
Yesterday, his genetic test returned diagnosing Titus with Triploidy Syndrome. This is an extremely rare chromosomal abnormality where a baby has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two, resulting in 69 total chromosomes, instead of 46.
The NICU doctors and staff have told us that only once in the past 50 years have they had a case like Titus. They informed us that 99% of all Triploidy pregnancies end in miscarriage, and of the 1% that survive until birth, 99% of them pass away within a few hours of delivery. To them, Titus surviving a whole week now is shocking, and they have no explanation for it. We know the explanation is God’s preserving grace, and we are thankful for the miracle of Titus’s life, and the week we have had to know, hold, and love our son.
We do not know how much longer the Lord will give us with Titus, as this is completely uncharted territory – even by medical standards.
Please pray for Titus, for God to be glorified in life or death, wisdom for Josh as he leads our family through this time, for Hannah as she continues to walk the path of healing, and for peace for Jeriah and Zoë as they don’t quite understand what is going on.
In faithfulness,
Pastor Josh and Hannah Cheetham

“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20–21, ESV)
Thank you again for your faithful prayers and thoughtful care for our church family.
