Our Fall Festival is this weekend!
Tomorrow’s community-wide fall festival and trunk-or-treat will feature many fun and engaging activities for kids and parents alike.
We are so grateful for the huge team of volunteers and the candy donations we have received to help prepare for this day of outreach. One of the most important ways you can still support the event is through prayer. Here are three specific areas you can pray for, and how you can be praying:
Community
Invitation cards have been distributed in our community and our event page is popular on Facebook among Back Mountain and Wyoming Valley residents. Our community is, without a doubt, aware of this event!
How you can pray:
- Pray that people who have never set foot in our buildings before bring their kids to this event.
- Pray that those who have been here before learn something new about our church.
- Pray that this event will give us opportunities for new community events.
Safety
We are so thankful for many kind and qualified volunteers who are excited to serve! We are also very grateful for the Dallas Township Police who have offered their services to help provide a security presence for this event. Safety is a priority for our church.
How you can pray:
- Pray that no children, parents, or volunteers are injured or even at risk for injuries during the event as they travel throughout our campus.
- Pray that those skilled and trained in security and emergency response are sensitive to potential issues that could arise.
- Pray that families recognize our church as a safe environment for them.
- Pray for weather that is comfortable and conducive for our planned outdoor activities.
Gospel Witness
It is our mission to pervade our community with the good news of Jesus Christ. This event should be one that people find to be fun as well as meaningful.
How you can pray:
- Pray for the Spirit to make our volunteers sensitive to His leading in conversations about spiritual things.
- Pray that our volunteers are prepared to give an answer for anyone who has questions.
- Pray that this event presents us more opportunities to share the gospel with those who attend.
- Pray that seeds would be planted for many to come and know Christ as Lord and Savior as a result of this event.
