Praying on the National Day of Prayer
The first Thursday in May is the National Day of Prayer, an annual observance designated by the United States Congress. Each year, the president invites all Americans to take time to pray. As a church, we want to be part of that. Each year, we set aside this day to pray for our schools, government, community, and church, not only because we care, but because we believe prayer is effective.
We encourage you wherever you are, whether at work, at school, at home, or out and about, to pause and take a moment to pray.
We will also have a time of open prayer from 7am to 9am in the Worship Center on Thursday, May 7.
