As we respond with intentionality to recent changes in our pastoral staff, seek to see each person flourishing in their roles and responsibilities according to their gifts, and strive to effectively lead a growing church, the pastoral positions at Fellowship Church have been adjusted to reflect our continuing mission of pervading the world with the Gospel and making disciples who make disciples and glorify God in everything they do.
Several adjustments were made on an interim basis during the transition period between lead pastors to cover all areas of pastoral responsibility effectively. Through the transition those changes proved to be effective, so it was determined the interim responsibilities should become permanent.
Pastor Karl’s title, formerly Pastor of Worship & Spiritual Development, is now Pastor of Worship & Ministry Operations. Pastor Karl will continue leading the worship ministry and offering pastoral oversight to Men’s, Women’s, and Kids’ Ministries. Pastor Karl will now also bring pastoral oversight to the facilities and administrative aspects of our church, ensuring vision-focused stewardship of our resources. Pastor Stephen and Pastor Nick will be overseeing the other areas of Spiritual Development. Pastor Tim will now be providing pastoral oversight to Community Groups, as this is a large area of ministry mobilization in our church.
Two part-time positions have also been added to support the ongoing ministries of our church and the stewardship of our campus and resources. Michaela Miller has been hired as our Kids’ Ministry Administrator, supporting Judy Harvey and the entire Kids’ Min team as they continually seek to make a way for kids to come to Christ. Michaela’s heart for discipleship and serving and her passion for using her administrative gifts in the local church will serve our body well as she takes on scheduling responsibilities and supports organizational aspects of Fellowship’s Kids’ Ministries. We are thrilled to have Michaela on our team as God continues to grow kids and family ministries here at Fellowship.
Biz Calhoon has also been hired as our Facilities Team Coordinator, supporting all of our ministries by leading a team who ensures our campus is prepared for daily use by Bible studies, gatherings, Kids’ Ministries, worship services, Community Resources, equipping classes, outreach events, and so much more. Biz will help provide the necessary oversight of the part-time facilities team, and help coordinate and attend to all the physical needs of our very busy campus.
Our vision for staffing at Fellowship Church is that our pastors and staff equip the saints for ministry, based on Ephesians 4:11-12; it is the people of Fellowship Church who perform the ministry. The staff and leadership work to involve and equip the saints, consistently with their gifts and talents, for that ministry. We are grateful to God for gifted staff members who seek to glorify God with their lives and service, and we look forward to continuing to serve his church!
