Parking Lot Improvements Coming Soon
Next week, you may notice some changes to traffic and parking as we begin a parking lot repair and improvement project near the entrance. The work will take several days and may temporarily affect how we enter the buildings and move through the parking lot, but most of our regular ministries and activities will continue as scheduled throughout the project.
What to Expect
During the project, please use extra caution when navigating the parking lot. There will be signage to help direct traffic, so please slow down, pay attention, and follow the posted directions.
There will still be plenty of parking available for all ministries. Door A will be inaccessible during the project, so Door B will serve as an alternate main entrance for most ministries.
Community Resources (Food Pantry and Clothes Closet) will be closed during the repair but will reopen as soon as possible once sufficient work has been completed. All other ministries will continue as scheduled. If you participate in a men’s or women’s study, a Connect Group such as fitness or basketball, Kids4Truth, TNT, or any other on-campus weekday ministry, please watch for any specific instructions or updates from your ministry leader or the church office via email or Church Center.
Why Are We Doing This?
While the temporary adjustments may require a little extra patience, this project will resolve necessary repairs and make that section of our parking lot significantly safer and easier to navigate.
Recurring potholes in the parking lot are being caused by drainage issues underneath the pavement. These potholes aren’t just uncomfortable to navigate, they also create a significant safety concern for pedestrians, particularly older adults who are walking through the parking lot. The project will address those underlying drainage issues while also widening a portion of the parking lot. The result will be safer pedestrian travel, smoother traffic flow, the elimination of potholes, and a few additional parking spaces.
We’re thankful for the opportunity to make these improvements to our campus and appreciate your patience and caution while the work is underway. Please watch for construction activity and follow signage and instructions for everyone’s safety and the smoothest continued functionality as we continue ministry through the project.
