Supporting Them in Their Time of Need
Dear Fellowship Family,
On June 16, our son, Titus Kaleb, was born at 2lbs 2oz, via emergency c-section, and was later diagnosed with Triploidy Syndrome. This is a rare chromosomal abnormality where a baby has three copies of every chromosome instead of the normal two, resulting in 69 total chromosomes, instead of 46. The doctors could not tell us how long Titus would live, and before he was born, there were only 13 documented cases in the world of a baby with a complete Triploidy genetic makeup living past 30 days. Our son Titus was case number 14.
We were faithful to go to the NICU each day to see him, hold him, and pray with him, trusting that God would preserve his life as long as He willed. We are so grateful to God for all the time that He gave, and for the opportunity we had to love and know our son.
On August 14, Titus went home to be with the Lord. Hannah and I were able to be there with him, as he passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, and we hold fast to the hope of embracing him again in the resurrection.
My heart is filled with praise to our God when I think of the love of His church. So many people have surrounded us with prayer and support, and I continue to be amazed at the sustaining grace of God through the prayers of His people. Please continue to be in prayer for us as we grieve the loss of our son, and for God to help our older children, Jeriah and Zoë to understand this in time.
