A Mid-Week Kids’ Ministry is Happening!

Kids4Truth is  officially launching this fall!

A new mid-week ministry for kids is being developed and we are looking forward to officially launching this fall!

You may remember that this past February we held an informational meeting for anyone interested in hearing more about Kids4Truth – a systematic theology for kids that teaches Bible doctrine. The information presented was well received by the parents in attendance and many from that group of early adopters then volunteered to be trained for Kids4Truth in 6 pilot sessions that would take place April – May.

The pilot sessions have provided an opportunity for us to literally practice all the roles and components of what this ministry might look like when we officially kick it off this fall. Because we want to practice well and make this a ministry that all of our families can adapt to easily, we have intentionally kept this pilot group small, with just 30 students; all of whom are all children of our 20 staff-members-in-training.

We are thrilled to report that so far, we’ve had five very successful sessions! Kids4Truth Clubs is a program like no other! It’s much more than memorizing verses. Every aspect of the club program helps students understand what they’re memorizing and how it applies to their own lives. It helps them know what they believe and why they believe it! The kids participate in recreation, enjoy healthy snacks, engage in corporate large group time, dig into the Word during small group time, and a spend time worshipping together.

There’s a ton of fun, there’s creative teaching, there’s time to learn scripture- how to apply it- and time to memorize doctrine that will set a firm foundation for faith. Collectively, these children are being poured into by a gifted team, they are being fed God’s truth, they are learning to understand and defend their faith, they are building deep friendships, and they are honoring God with their time at K4T! This ministry is intentionally discipleship-focused, and requires a commitment from staff, kids, and families alike. The more that our kids attend, the more they can absorb, the more they can learn, memorize, worship, and grow!

Once the pilot sessions are finished, we’ll make the adjustments needed and then open up a registration period for our families to enroll their kids ages 3 through 6th grade.

There will be a yearly fee to enroll, which will cover the cost of materials that each child will then own. We hope that parents will see this as an investment which has eternal value and we encourage all families to seriously consider the greater value of registering your children in such a heart changing, faith building ministry. We also encourage parents to prayerfully consider serving as well!
