Inter-church mailboxes leaving March 1
Pick up your mail before then!
The inter-church mailbox system at Fellowship Church has been an handy communication tool for decades. They’ve been used for everything from exchanging Christmas cards, to sharing books, or even just passing notes of encouragement. As we prepare to make room for more at Fellowship Church, some intentional changes must be made in order for us to make that room.
The space currently occupied by the mailboxes is shared with our kids’ and nursery check-in area. With the advent of our new Worship Center approaching, many of our existing spaces will need to undergo immediate and very purposeful design changes. The check-in area is crucial to our ability to welcome and accommodate families with children. We see ministry as a priority. Therefore, the ministry usage of this space must take precedence and we will be discontinuing our inter-church mail system effective March 1.
In the past year, we’ve made many changes to our spaces to help create a more welcoming environment and demonstrate good stewardship of the resources that God has given to Fellowship Church. We recently removed our vending machines from this space and decreased the amount of mailboxes in order to increase the functionality of that space. As we make room for more, and more names are added to our church family, we also realize that we will not be able to supply everyone who calls Fellowship Church their home with their own mailbox.
So, after March 1, you will not longer see mailboxes in that space. After that date – or even now – you can help us carry the vision of Fellowship by adding a personal touch and delivering your gifts by hand, or sending your letters and cards via the postal service. Everyone loves getting mail (and our new directory will be available soon to help you get those messages where they need to go!).
Please be sure to pick up your mail by March 1. Anything unclaimed will be kept in the church offices for one week and then either discarded or mailed to your home address.
Please note that the mailboxes in the copier room will remain. These mailboxes are useful for delivering important information, such as forms or cards, to our staff and elders.
