Ashley Sheare, Co-Leader Moves On
About three years ago, God brought me the opportunity to become the Director of Kid’s Ministry here at Fellowship Church. I was unsure why God was calling me to this role because I felt I lacked the gifts one would need to lead our Kids’ Ministry; gifts like grace, and mercy. I was comparing myself to others who have lead the ministry in the past and thinking I was not cut out for this position.
In talking to Pastor Marc, along with following God’s guidance, I accepted the position, with excitement and trust that God was going to use me and the gifts He has given me to serve in this ministry. I was able to be part of so many awesome changes within the ministry and huge growth, not only in numbers but in the structures and content of the ministries. I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve our church and our kids in this way. To have had the chance to eventually co-lead with Stephanie Fuhr has been nothing but encouraging and faith building. All of the leaders within the Kids’ Ministry have been a huge blessing to me in so many ways and they are all a blessing to this ministry. God has used this role in serving Him and His people to grow me in so many ways and I am grateful for that.
After much prayer and hearing God’s strong leading, I have decided to step down as co-leader of Kids’ Ministry. Some may know Timothy and I are in the process now to adopting two children, who have been placed with us for the last 18 months. God is clearly showing me that my main priority needs to be my family and home right now. So I thank everyone for their encouragement, prayers, support and help during my time serving the Kid’s Ministry and as our family has grown.
with a heart of gratitude,
