Be aware of these room transitions as we prepare for construction!
With groundbreaking only weeks away, it i.s time to begin making the necessary adjustments and transitions to help get things ready for construction. Here are some of the locations you may see changing in the coming weeks and months:
1. Education Building Restrooms
The addition of new restrooms in the current Education Building will be done in two steps to ensure continuous access to restrooms throughout the construction process. First, the current conference room and food pantry areas will be blocked off, and new restrooms will be constructed in those areas. Once those new restrooms are operational, they will be opened and our current restrooms will be closed for renovations. The end result will be new and renovated restrooms in the first floor of the Education Building, without losing access to bathrooms during construction.
2. Food Pantry
With the construction and renovation of our restrooms, the Food Pantry will need to be temporarily relocated, as we wait for it’s new space to be ready. It is our intention to continue to serve our community through our Food Pantry. In order to do this, we will be moving the Food Pantry to Room 4.
3. Conference Room
The Conference Room will be closed until it’s new location is constructed. Groups wishing to meet will be assigned other available classrooms to accommodate their needs.
4. Kids Classes
Room 4 is one of the main classes used for Kids’ Church on Sunday mornings. With the Food Pantry taking residence in Room 4, the Pre-K class that meets in Room 4 will begin meeting in Room 8. The Kindergarten-2nd Grade Class which meets in Room 8 will move to Room 16 in our Education Building (2nd Floor). While this may seem like a temporary inconvenience, we actually see it as a benefit as all of our Kids’ classes will meet, and be dismissed from, the same hallway, making parent pick up a lot smoother for families with children in multiple classrooms.
5. Community Room
The Community Room roof will be replaced during Phase 1, so there will be a period of weeks during the summer where the Community Room will be closed entirely. When this occurs, we will temporarily relocate anything that typically occurs in that room, such as our service simulcast. Requests to use the Community Room for ministries or private events may be impacted during the summer as well. Contact Tim Sheare for any room usage requests and he will alert you to any adjustments that need to be made.
